Magic Tokyo ( 5 Days)

After breakfast, you will be taken for a tour of the capital city of Japan, to see some of its innumerable landmarks and historic buildings, museums, temples and parks. You will be visiting the Meiji Shrine, a magnificent 20th century Shinto monument situated in a forested area, before driving down to Kokyo Gaien, the large plaza from outside the Imperial Palace, to see the Palace, its park and moats. This will be followed by a visit to an Artist’s studio where a master calligrapher will give a demonstration of his skills, and you can try it out for yourself. You will also be going to a factory making Kimonos, where you can wear a kimono and get yourself photographed in the costume. After this, you may wish to continue with further sightseeing or shopping (on your own). There are several restaurants, bars, pubs, and cafes serving a variety of cuisine to suit all tastes. There are innumerable shops and boutiques selling a variety of merchandise, from designer brands to traditional handicrafts. Overnight at hotel in Tokyo.

Following breakfast, you will be taken for a full-day tour to Hakone to see Mt Fuji, with lunch being served in-between. The tour will begin with a visit to Kamakura, a temple containing the second-largest statue of the Great Buddha in Japan, cast in 1252 AD. Then will begin a scenic drive to Hakone, followed by a ride in the cable car for panoramic views of Mt Fuji (weather permitting). You will be given a Welcome Kit (With Donki Yokoso! After breakfast, you will have the day free to explore the city (at your own cost). Worth a visit are many places, including: the Ogasawara National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Ueno Park, which has a few Museums, art works, statues, and a Zoo; the Sensoji or Asakusa Kannon Temple, Tokyo’s oldest and most colourful temple; the adjoining market of Nakamise, an ancient shopping street selling souvenirs and traditional snacks; the Ginza – an upscale area comprising of numerous eateries, department stores, and trendy boutiques representing internationally renowned brands. There are other shopping centres where you can shop to your heart’s content. Tokyo’s Disneyland, the 2nd in the world after USA, with 7 theme parks, is another place worth visiting, spelling fun for the whole family. The city’s innumerable restaurants and cafes cater to an international clientele. Tokyo has a vibrant nightlife with nightclubs, live music and dancing. You can also go for an Evening Cruise down the Sumida River to see the cherry blossoms in bloom alongside the river; or, you can go for a Dinner Cruise in the Tokyo Bay, to see the brightly illuminated city shimmering in the night as you enjoy your meal. Following breakfast, you will be checking-out of your hotel but may have time to do some last-minute shopping, before our local representative drops you at the scheduled time at the airport for your flight to your onward destination.
