After Breakfast Drive to Agra. Afternoon tour to visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor ShahJahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Included will be visits to Emperor Akbar's Fort. Within the fort are palaces, the Pearl Mosque and the Halls of Public and Private Audiences. Overnight stay at Hotel.
A short distance from Agra lies the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and later abandoned due to the scarcity of water. The graceful buildings within the city include tombs and palaces. Later Proceed to Pink city Jaipur. Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors.
Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight in Jaipur.
After breakfast Transfer to Delhi Air port or railway station for your next journey. Afternoon tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight in Delhi
Early morning we board the superfast air-conditioned train to Amritsar. Breakfast in the train, reach Amritsar and transfer to hotel. In the evening, we visit the Wagah Border to watch Border Retreat Ceremony and the change of guard ceremony of the Indian and Pakistani forces. Overnight in Amritsar.
Early morning visit Golden Temple - most sacred temple for Sikhs. A unique example of the spirit of tolerance and acceptance that the Sikh philosophy propounds. Also visit Jallianwala Bagh- Martyrs’ Memorial built in the shape of eternal flame of liberty is situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple. It is here that General Dyer cruelly massacred a peaceful demonstration of about 1500 and 2000 persons during the freedom movement on 13 April 1919. Later in the afternoon transfer to railway station to board the train back to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Transfer to airport to board the onward flight back home.
